Dear CRA Advisory Board Members, City Residents and Businesses:
As part of the CRA’s continuing efforts to encourage public input in the selection of the CRA Executive Director, this is to inform you that on Thursday, July 2 at 10:00 A.M., a second virtual Zoom Meeting with the two candidates will be held. This second meeting is designed to provide public input in the selection process. At the beginning of the meeting, time will be allotted for public comment related to selecting the CRA Executive Director. Following are the two candidates under consideration:
Allison Justice: City of WPB Interim CRA Executive Director – RMA Employee
(View Resume)
Christopher Roog: City of WPB Economic Development Director – City Employee
(View Resume)
Additionally, members of the public are encouraged to submit questions for the candidates. In order for your questions to be considered, they must be submitted to the City’s Assistant Director of Human Resources, Sylvia Gregory, via email at: sgregory@wpb.org; or via a drop box located at the entrance to City Hall marked “CRA Executive Director July 2nd meeting public questions” by close of business on Tuesday, June 30th.
Note that questions related to the following topics are not appropriate and will not be asked: age, birth date, high school graduation date, criminal/arrest records, credit rating, disabilities, marital status, familial status, national origin, race, religion, questions related to confidential information of a previous employer or questions not directly related to a candidate’s ability to do the CRA Executive Director job.
Questions determined to be appropriate will be forwarded to CRA Board Members, who will take turns asking those questions of the candidates as time permits. Please keep in mind that due to time constraints and number of questions received, the CRA Board may not get to every question. However, the Board will make its best effort to ask as many questions from the public as possible.
It should also be noted the first virtual Zoom Meeting will be held on Monday, June 29th at 10:00 A.M. This meeting will be specifically for the CRA Board to interview the two candidates and will not provide for public comment or public interview questions. The June 29th and July 2nd Zoom Meetings information and links for joining both meetings will be posted on the City’s website at: www.wpb.org
