ABOUT THIS VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

Looking for volunteers who love books, children, and reading. The volunteers will read to children in classrooms at one of our four partnering schools for 30 minutes once a week throughout the school year. This program supports and encourages the love of reading by bringing story hours into PreK to 2nd grade classrooms, providing library cards, and giving the gift of a book to each participating child.

Requirements

Volunteers must be 18 years of age. You will need to dedicate your time to read 30 minutes once a week in a classroom setting, and have transportation to a local school. This position may require you to push/pull/lift up to 25 pounds.
