Home MenuNotary Services
Notary services are typically available Sunday through Thursday. Appointments are strongly encouraged. All notary services are $5.00 per notary stamp, and library card holders will receive one free stamp per day.
How it works:
Do not sign or date your documents before your notary appointment.
Schedule an appointment online, or give us a call at (561) 868-7701 for more information.
In order to best serve you, please let us know what type of notary service you will need when you make your appointment. Some examples are:
- Acknowledgement (Verifying the identity of the signer)
- Oath/Affirmation (sworn statements)
- Copy Certification (Copying a document that cannot be obtained from a government agency).
At this time, we cannot perform the following notary services. It is recommended that guidance be sought through an attorney’s office for the documents with an asterisk* below.

Wills can be notarized if the signee brings two witnesses with them for the Self-Proving Affidavit. Witnesses cannot be solicited from staff or from other library patrons.
What to bring:
A valid ID is required for service. Please be sure to bring at least one form of ID listed below:
- State Issued Driver's License
- State Issued Identification Card (with photo), U.S. Passport
- U.S. Military ID
- Foreign Passport (must be stamped by U.S. Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services)
- Canadian or Mexican Driver's License or ID card (with photo)
- Veteran Health Identification Card issued by U.S. VA
- Inmate Identification Card issued after January 1, 1991
- Identification Card Issued by the U.S. Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services
The name and signature must match the name on the presented ID.
If you require a document written in Spanish to be notarized, please ensure that the signee also speaks Spanish fluently. Documents cannot be translated by the notary. You must be able to read and understand the document in the original language. Only English and Spanish documents are accepted at this time.
If your document requires it, you must bring your own witnesses with you to your appointment. Witnesses must bring a valid ID with them to your appointment and must be known to you. Library staff cannot serve as witnesses. Patrons are not allowed to ask other library patrons to serve as their witnesses.
Library notaries reserve the right to refuse to notarize a document.
