The City of West Palm Beach is accepting bids from FDOT pre-qualified and responsible contractors to provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary for a federally funded FDOT and City of West Palm Beach ADA improvements project in the Roosevelt Estates Neighborhood.
The project proposes the construction of ADA compliant ramps and sidewalks, enhanced crosswalks, and the reconstruction and/or installation of four (4) roundabouts. The project area is mainly characterized with a lack of crosswalks and curb ramps. In addition, the existing sidewalks are not connected to the crosswalks and are separated from these crosswalks by swale areas. These improvements will provide accessibility and maneuverability, not only for those with disabilities but also for all residents and visitors.
The contractor shall comply with FDOT’s DBE program Plan approved by the USDOT. FDOT currently has a race neutral program with a 10.65% goal. Contractor shall use DBEs certified under the Florida Unified Certification Program Directory.
