WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. (July 17, 2020) – In preparation for Fiscal Year 2020/21, the City of West Palm Beach will host two community budget meetings. During these virtual meetings, City staff will present the FY21 budget outlook to the public. The impacts of COVID-19 on the broad and local economy have caused a significant loss in revenues which is adversely affecting the City’s current budget and our budgets for the foreseeable future. The public is invited to learn, ask questions, and submit any cost savings ideas during these meetings for the City to consider. Questions can be submitted before, during, and after the presentations but by no later than the close of business on Monday, July 27, 2020.
The virtual meetings are scheduled for:
- Wednesday, July 22, 2020 (6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.), and
- Monday, July 27, 2020 (10:00 a.m. – noon).
To promote social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic, the City has turned to Zoom technology to host public meetings:

Budget adoption hearings are scheduled for:
- September 10, 2020 (5:01 p.m.): First public hearing to adopt the tentative FY 2021 budget and millage rate
- September 24, 2020 (5:01 p.m.): Second and final public hearing to adopt the final FY 2021 budget and millage rate.
