Essential Hurricane Season Information from the City
As we venture further into the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season, the City of West Palm Beach is reminding residents of the critical importance of readiness in the face of potential storms. While we remain hopeful for a calm season, it is imperative to be fully prepared for any eventuality. During the season, which ends on Nov. 30, 2024, tropical storms and hurricanes are anticipated to form in the Atlantic. Learn more here!

Youth Climate Action Fund
Empower Youth, Energize Change: Join the Movement for a Sustainable Future!
Are you aged 15 to 24 years old and want to make a difference in the West Palm Beach community? Are you ready to take action on climate change and help the environment? If so, the Youth Climate Action Fund (YCAF) Micro-Grant Program is for you!
Video applications are due Sunday, June 30, 2024!

Save money and do your part to help save the planet! The City of West Palm Beach and the University of Florida IFAS Extension are teaming up to host the Climate Smart Floridians Program, providing residents with research-based information about local climate change.
Attend this FREE program and receive FREE conservation resources!
Available to City residents, businesses, and students. Registration is required. Limited class size. Attend one or all modules! Upon completion of all 8 modules, a special certificate will be awarded.
The first scheduled program on Tuesday, July 2, will feature a certified meteorologist guest speaker from WPBF 25!
Plastic Free Challenge Giveaway & Free Film Screening
Plastic Free July® is a global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution – so we can have cleaner streets, waterways, beautiful communities, and healthier bodies. It's about learning to make small changes. The City of West Palm Beach Office of Sustainability is offering FREE customized Plastic Free Challenge Kits to City of West Palm Beach residents and a FREE film screening that is open to everyone! Registration is required. Plastic Free Challenge Kits are available to City of West Palm Beach residents and businesses.
Monday, July 1: Plastic Free Challenge Kit Pick-Up and Free Film Screening at the Cox Science Center and Aquarium (6 p.m. – 8 p.m.)
