City of West Palm Beach Encourages Residents to Utilize
Hurricane Tax-Free Week from June 1-14, 2024

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – The City of West Palm Beach is proud to announce the upcoming Hurricane Tax-Free Week, running from June 1 to June 14, 2024. This initiative aims to provide relief to our residents by offering tax exemptions on essential hurricane preparedness supplies, encouraging everyone to be adequately equipped for the upcoming storm season.

Hurricane Tax-Free Week is a critical opportunity for West Palm Beach residents to stock up on supplies necessary for safeguarding themselves, their families, and their property against potential hurricanes. By taking advantage of this tax exemption period, individuals can save money while ensuring their preparedness for any weather-related emergencies that may arise.

During Hurricane Tax-Free Week, eligible items such as flashlights, batteries, portable generators, coolers, and other designated hurricane preparedness products will be exempt from state and local sales taxes. This exemption applies to in-store and online purchases, providing convenience and accessibility to all residents.

The City of West Palm Beach urges all residents to take advantage of this opportunity to ensure their readiness for potential hurricanes. By preparing in advance, individuals can mitigate risks and enhance their ability to weather storms effectively.
