WEST PALM BEACH, FL — On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 15, 2024, the City of West Palm Beach collected an impressive $9,793.51 from all on-street paid parking. This included payment made by coins, credit cards at meters, and payments made using the Park Mobile App. These funds will be donated to the Martin Luther King Jr. Caregivers, a volunteer group aiding the frail, elderly, and home-bound in the inner city.

The MLK Jr. Caregivers, established in 1996, continue to provide crucial assistance to those in need. This donation underscores the City's commitment to community service and supporting its vulnerable residents.

"We are thrilled to contribute to the Martin Luther King Jr. Caregivers through the revenues generated from our on-street paid parking on this special day," said City of West Palm Beach Mayor Keith A. James. "This initiative reflects our commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of our fellow residents and upholding the spirit of community service."

The City of West Palm Beach extends gratitude to the community for their support, emphasizing the significance of this donation in reinforcing the City's commitment to the well-being of its vulnerable residents.
