A Holocaust Children's Memorial sculpture created by local artist Bruce Gendelman has been unveiled on the MorseLife campus in West Palm Beach. As part of the Butterfly Project, it memorializes the 1.5 million children murdered by the Nazis during the Holocaust.
Community Information Meeting in Historic Northwest
Join the City of West Palm Beach Community Redevelopment Agency in its upcoming community information meeting that will provide updates to residents and area businesses. The event is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Heart and Soul Park, located at 825 N. Rosemary Avenue. All residents and community members are encouraged to attend. Discussions will focus on clean and safe initiatives, the Norton Museum’s outreach programs, and the West Palm Beach Engineering Research Center (ERC).

West Palm Beach GreenMarket Master Chef Showcase Semi-Finals
The City of West Palm Beach invites locals and visitors alike to cheer on their favorite chef during the West Palm Beach GreenMarket’s Master Chef Showcase first round of semi-finals.
The semi-finals will feature winning chefs from past rounds to prepare an Asian-inspired dish with a pre-selected protein choice — chicken, pork, beef, fish – which will be unbeknownst to the chefs until the day of the competition. Competitors will chop, sauté, and serve their dishes to a panel of judges comprised of community leaders.
Judges will pick the winning dish based on presentation, flavor, and originality. The winning chef will advance to the Showcase finals on Saturday, April 6, 2024.

Mac Fabrics & Design Center Celebrates 65th Anniversary
Mac Fabrics, a pioneer, family-owned business opened its doors in 1959, at 435 Clematis Street, proudly offering an elevated quality of fabrics for more than five decades. At the time it was the only fabric shop within 100 miles. The legacy fabric shop loyally serviced customers far and wide for more than five decades.
Mayor Keith James will proclaim a special anniversary tribute to Sandy Costello and her family at the City Commission Meeting on February 5, at 5 p.m.
