Road and Dock Closures for Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024

CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH ENGINEERING, PUBLIC WORKS & UTILITY ROAD CLOSURES
- Washington Road between Roosevelt Place and Royal Palm Road (construction extended through February 2024): Road closures as part of a streetscape redesign, including new underground utilities, sidewalks, and storm drainage improvements. The following detours are in place:
- Northbound Washington Road traffic should go west on Monroe Drive to Olive Avenue, north on Olive Avenue to Almeria Road, and east on Almeria Road to Flagler Drive.
- Southbound Washington Road traffic should go west on Almeria Road to Olive Avenue, south on Olive Avenue to Monroe Drive, and east on Monroe Drive to Washington Road.
- Roosevelt Estates: Storm Drainage Infrastructures Improvements
- Clear Lake Avenue & 7th Street (through January 2024): Full intersection closure, follow detour provided.
- Golf Avenue & 7th Street (through January 2024): Full intersection closure, follow detour provided.
- 300 Block North Clematis Alleyway (through January 2024): Full closure of alleyway between Dixie Highway and Olive Avenue for underground utilities improvements.
- Flamingo Drive between Florida Avenue & Parker Avenue (through February 2024): Partial closures with flagging operations for milling & resurfacing.
- Northwood Hills from 39th Street to 44th Street between Windsor Avenue and Greenwood Avenue (through February 2024): Partial Lane closures with flagging operations for underground utilities improvements.
- Datura Street between Flagler Drive & Dixie Highway (through March 2024): Partial Lane closures with flagging operations for storm sewer rehabilitation.
- Tamarind Avenue between Banyan Boulevard & 7th Street (Extended through June 2024): Full Road closures as part of a streetscape redesign, including new underground utilities, sidewalks, lighting and storm drainage improvements.
- Eucalyptus Street between Florida Avenue & Claremore Avenue (Through April 2024): Partial Lane Closures for storm sewer rehabilitation.
- 47th Sreet between Pinewood Avenue & Broadway Avenue (through April 2024): Partial Lane Closures for storm sewer rehabilitation.
- Watermark Complex (Flagler Drive between 3rd Street & 4th Street) (through January 2024): Lining of underground utilities. Intermittent sidewalk closure on east side.
- Pine Terrace & Washington Road (through March 2024): Full intersection closure for underground utility replacement.
- Okeechobee Boulevard between Tamarind Avenue and I-95 Access Ramp (from January 3rd through January 5, 2024): Daily single lane closure on Okeechobee Boulevard between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Access to I-95 north and south bound ramp will remain accessible on Okeechobee Boulevard.
- Quadrille Boulevard & Clematis Street Intersection (January 22nd through January 31st, 2024) Closure is related to needed improvements at the intersection.
- Monday, January 22 & Tuesday, January 23, 2024 (From 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.): A full intersection closure for 2 nights of the Clematis and Quadrille Intersection. Traffic moving north and south on Quadrille Boulevard would be detoured at Banyan Boulevard and Datura Street. The 400 block of Clematis Street will be closed to all traffic. The 500 block would be open to traffic up to Quadrille Plaza Drive.
- Friday, January 26 & Monday, January 29, 2024 (From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.): 1/2 intersection closure for 2 days of Clematis Street and Quadrille Boulevard. Traffic moving north on Quadrille Boulevard would be detoured at Datura Street. The 400 block of Clematis Street would be closed to traffic for these two days.
- Tuesday, January 30 & Wednesday, January 31, 2024 (From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.): 1/2 intersection closure for 2 days of the Clematis Street and Quadrille Boulevard intersection. Traffic moving south on Quadrille Boulevard will be detoured at Banyan Street. The 500 block of Clematis Street would be open to Quadrille Plaza Drive.
EVENT ROAD CLOSURES
- North & South Clematis Streets between Narcissus Avenue and Flagler Drive, and Lantana Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and North Clematis Street (Thursday, January 4, 2024 and Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m.): The road is closed for Clematis by Night produced by City of West Palm Beach Community Events.
- Rosemary Avenue between Okeechobee Boulevard and Hibiscus Street (Friday, January 5, 2024, 5 p.m. through Sunday, January 7, 2024, 10 p.m.) & (Friday, January 12, 2024, 5 p.m. through Sunday, January 14, 2024, 10 p.m.). The road is closed for a street festival produced by Related.
- 100 Block of North and South Clematis Streets, Narcissus Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and Datura Street; Lantana Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and North Clematis Street; 200 block of Clematis Street (Saturday, January 6, 2024 and Saturday January 13, 2024, from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m.) These roads will be closed for GreenMarket in the City Commons.
- 300 and 400 Block of Clematis Street (Saturday January 6, 2024 and Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m.) The road will be closed for West Palm Beach Antique, Flea and Craft Market
PRIVATE PROJECT ROAD CLOSURES
- One Flagler - Chase Street between Lakeview Avenue and Okeechobee Boulevard (through Summer 2024): The road is closed for construction. The eastern sidewalk is closed for construction.
- One Flagler - Lakeview Avenue between Flagler Drive and Chase Street (through Summer 2024): Single lane closure due to construction. No site deliveries in the work zone.
- 301 Clematis Street / 300 Banyan Boulevard (Extended through February 2024):
- Sidewalk closures along site frontage on Banyan Boulevard and North Olive Avenue
- Alley north of Clematis Street closed between North Olive Avenue and the Chase Bank plaza.
- Closure of left-most lane along North Olive Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and Clematis Street.
- The Square East/West Towers (through January 2024):
- Gardenia Street between Rosemary Avenue and Quadrille Boulevard, full road closure for demolition. Pedestrian access maintained along the northern side of the road.
- 350 Australian Avenue (Extended through Summer 2024):
- West side sidewalk closure on Clearwater South of Banyan Boulevard for utility work and building construction activities. Pedestrian detour provided.
- 575 Rosemary Tower (Through Summer 2024)
- Sidewalk closure along the site. Pedestrian detour provided.
- Park Central Apartments – (through December 2023)
- Dock Street closed between Flamingo Road and Parker Avenue
- Broward Apartments – (through January of 2024)
- Broward Avenue between Butler and Piccadilly flagging operation and lane closures for utility work
- Alba – North Flagler Drive between 46th Street and 47th Street (through January 2024): Upcoming northbound lane closure and sidewalk closure.
PALM BEACH COUNTY ENGINEERING & PUBLIC WORKS ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY
- Palm Beach Lake Boulevard east of the Palm Beach Outlets/Target Store entrance (until further notice): periodic right lane closures for pole installation and underground utility work.
- Roebuck Road Bridge over Florida's Turnpike (until further notice): Temporary lane closures with flaggers controlling traffic for bridge maintenance.
- Congress Avenue from Okeechobee Boulevard to Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard (until further notice): Periodic nighttime lane closures for milling and resurfacing.
- Belvedere Road between Georgia Avenue and Dixie Highway (until further notice): Periodic daytime westbound lane closures and nighttime double lane closures with traffic shift for FPL Pole replacements.
- 45th Street between North Haverhill Road to West of Premier Park Drive (until further notice): Periodic eastbound and westbound right lane closures. Periodic southbound right lane closure on North Jog Road. Periodic eastbound and westbound road closure starting from 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. Traffic will be detoured via North Haverhill Road, Bee Line Highway and N. Jog Road.
- North Haverhill Road from Roebuck Road to Caribbean Boulevard (until further notice): Periodic nighttime lane closures for milling and resurfacing
- Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard between I-95 to US Highway 1 (until further notice). Periodic lane closures for ADA Ramp reconstruction.

FLORIDA DEPT. OF TRANSPORTATION (FDOT) ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY OF WPB
- Southern Boulevard (State Road 80) Resurfacing and Bridge Rehabilitation Project (through Spring 2024)
- State Road 80/Southern Boulevard from Parker Avenue to Lake Avenue will have one lane closed in each direction as needed, daily, 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., and nightly, 8 p.m. until 5 a.m., Wednesday, January 3, and Thursday, January 4.
- The State Road 80/Southern Boulevard bridge from Lake Avenue to South Olive Avenue will have one lane closed in each direction as needed, daily, Wednesday, January 3 through Friday, January 5 and nightly, 8 p.m. until 5 a.m., Wednesday, January 3 and Thursday, January 4, for lighting, fence installation, and pavement markings.
- Georgia Avenue at the State Road 80/Southern Boulevard bridge underpass will undergo a full, around-the-clock closure for bridge rehabilitation work, through Thursday January 12, 2024. Westbound traffic will be detoured via Nottingham Boulevard, Lake Avenue and Roeland Drive. Eastbound bound traffic will be detoured via Lake Avenue and Nottingham Boulevard.
- State Road 809/Military Trail at State Road 882/Forest Hill Boulevard Intersection Improvements (through Winter 2024)
- Project limits: 0.705-mile at and near the intersection of State Road 809 and State Road 822.
- Work includes widening, milling, and resurfacing, constructing additional right and left turn lanes, installing new 5-foot bike lanes at various locations along State Road 882, improving sidewalks and driveways, installing four new signal mast arms at the intersection, and installing new signage and pavement markings.
- The outside eastbound and westbound lanes on Forest Hill Boulevard. may be closed from Haverhill to Kirk Road from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, January 3 through Friday, January 5, for directional bore and signalization operations.
- The outside northbound and southbound lanes on Military Trail may be closed from Summit Boulevard. to Purdy Lane from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, January 3 through Friday, January 5, for directional bore and signalization operations.
- Beginning Wednesday, January 3, 2024, the outside southbound lane on Military Trail from Hairland Drive to Forest Hill Boulevard. will be closed for turn lane construction.
- Beginning Wednesday, January 3, 2024, the outside westbound lane on Forest Hill Boulevard. from east of Military Trail to just west of Military Trail will be closed for roadway widening.
- Belvedere Road Improvements at the I-95 Northbound On/Off-Ramp Connection (through Summer 2024)
- The I-95 northbound entrance ramp from Belvedere Road may have one inside lane closed daily, 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., and nightly, 9:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m.
- Belvedere Road at I-95 may have one outside lane closed in each direction, daily 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., and nightly, 9:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m.
- Belvedere Road will have one lane closed in each direction as needed, daily, 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., Wednesday, January 3 until Friday, January 5 and nightly, 9 p.m. until 6 a.m., Wednesday, January 3 and Thursday, January 4.
I-95 Southbound Off-Ramp to Belvedere Road (through Summer 2024)
- The I-95 southbound exit ramp to Belvedere Road will be closed overnight as needed, 10 p.m. until 6 a.m., Wednesday, January 3 and Thursday, January 4. Motorists will be detoured to Belvedere Road via westbound State Road 80/Southern Boulevard and northbound Australian Avenue. *Please note that consecutive ramps will not be closed at the same time.
- The I-95 southbound exit ramp to Palm Beach International Airport (PBIA) will be closed overnight as needed, 10 p.m. until 6 a.m., Wednesday, January 3 and Thursday, January 4. Motorists will be detoured to PBIA via westbound 80/Southern Boulevard and northbound Australian Avenue. *Please note that consecutive ramps will not be closed at the same time.
State Road (State Road) 5/US 1 (Dixie Highway) Improvements Projects (through Spring 2024)
- Project Limits: 0.437-mile road improvements project on State Road 5/US 1 from North Quadrille Boulevard to Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard.
- Work includes milling and resurfacing the existing roadway, improving curb and gutter, signing and pavement markings, upgrading pedestrian curb ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, and upgrading pedestrian signalization.
- All lanes are open.

CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH DOCKS
- Currie Park Boat Docks and Ramps (2400 North Flagler Drive): Ramps are open daily, from sunrise to sunset.
- Lake Mangonia Park Boat Ramps (2957 North Australian Avenue): Ramps are open daily, from sunrise to sunset.
- Clematis Street Docks (South Clematis Street at South Flagler Drive): Docks are open daily, from 5 a.m. until midnight.
- Fern Street Dock (Fern Street at South Flagler Drive): The dock is open daily from 5 a.m. until midnight. No overnight dockage is allowed for boats, dinghies, or kayaks. The Fern Dock is also the home of a West Palm Beach Marine Patrol Boat and the West Palm Beach Fire and Rescue Boat
