WEST PALM BEACH, FLA (August 1, 2022) – In celebration of National Black Business Month (NBBM), the City of West Palm Beach, through its Office of Small and Minority/Women Business Programs and in collaboration with The Mosaic Group, will host the 8th annual Community Mixer event on Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Lake Pavilion, 101 South Flagler Drive. West Palm Beach Mayor Keith A. James, event co-host, will provide City updates and facilitate an interactive Q&A session.
This year’s event will feature a “fireside chat” with special guest Christopher J. Williams, chairman of Siebert Williams Shank & Co, the United States’ largest women and minority-owned investment bank. The mixer will also highlight local business owners Brittani Millington, brand strategist and founder of BM Design; Boris Seymore, executive chef and owner of BDS Catering; and Jackie and Veronica Cooper, president & vice president of Cooper Construction Management & Consulting.
“Our black- and minority-owned businesses play a huge role in our local economy and this event helps shine a spotlight on these incredible entrepreneurs,” said Mayor James. “I encourage everyone to join us for an evening of networking, important updates from your City leaders and celebrating our outstanding Black business community.”
Observed every August, National Black Business Month (NBBM) was created to help increase the number of African/Caribbean‐American owned businesses on an international level. 2022 marks the nineteenth annual NBBM, encouraging the public to visit at least one black owned business on a daily basis throughout the month.
This event is open to the public and features networking, refreshments and live music. Admission is $10 per person. To RSVP, visit www.blackbusinessloop.com. For more information, contact The Mosaic Group at (561) 651-9565, or events@mosaicgroup.co.
