Statement from West Palm Beach Mayor Keith A. James on Palm Beach County’s First Day of School

 “On Palm Beach County’s first day of school, my wife, Lorna, and I extend our very best wishes to all students, teachers and administrators for a happy and healthy school year. Study hard, pay attention and have fun learning! I also wish to thank the many teachers who, through instruction and inspiration, are making a difference in the lives of our students and our city’s future. With schools open, I urge drivers to take their time and pay particular attention to the children on the sidewalk and in the crosswalks. Our children are our most precious gift. The City of West Palm Beach offers programs and services that may be resources for parents, guardians and students. Have a fantastic school year!”
