Mayor James Announces New WPB Assistant City Administrator Ricardo Mendez-Saldivia

WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. (April 15, 2020) – West Palm Beach Mayor Keith A. James is pleased to announce the selection of Ricardo Mendez-Saldivia for the position of Assistant City Administrator effective Monday, May 4, 2020. In this role, Mr. Mendez-Saldivia will oversee the City’s Infrastructure and Land Development Operations which include the departments of Development Services, Public Utilities, Engineering and Parking Administration.

Mr. Mendez-Saldivia brings to the City more than 25-years of diversified government experience and a background in civil engineering, administration, development services, water & sewer, transportation, capital improvement projects, and information technology.

He has held positions with the Palm Beach County School District, Miami Dade County, City of Miami Beach, City of Sweetwater, City of Harrisburg, PA, and RA Consulting Engineers in Miami.

James. “With a background in municipal operations, special projects, and finance, Mr. Mendez-Saldivia brings a wealth of experience to this position. Mr. Mendez-Saldivia holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree from Florida International University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Miami.

Mr. Mendez-Saldivia is a registered professional Civil Engineer and an ICMA Credentialed Local Government Manager.
