Public Meetings During Reinstatement of Face Covering Mandate

WEST PALM BEACH, FLA (August 3, 2021) – City of West Palm Beach Public Meetings continue to be held in person, after Mayor Keith A. James’ reinstatement of the COVID-19 face covering mandate for city government facilities, effective August 3, 2021.

Here are some helpful tips for attending, following, or participating in public meetings, during this time of COVID-19:

  • No Appointment Needed to Attend Public Meetings: Although an appointment is required to do business at City Hall at this time, an appointment is not required to attend a public meeting.
  • Public Meetings on WPB-TV: Many public meetings are broadcast live on the city government television station. WPB-TV may be viewed on Comcast (Channel 18) or on the city’s website, wpb.org. When visiting the city website, click on the yellow “WPB-TV” button to be directed to the station’s livestream or click here
  • Public Comments: For members of the public who prefer to participate in public meetings from home, comments may be submitted online via the Public Comment Submission Form on the city website. Click here for the Public Comment Submission Form.
  • Physical distancing of 6 ft. is to be practiced during public meetings in city facilities.
