WEST PALM BEACH, FLA (May 31, 2021) – The Water Advisory for Vulnerable Populations remains in effect. To read the full advisory, click here or visit wpb.org. Individuals not considered in the vulnerable category may drink the water. Everyone may use tap water for showering, bathing, washing hands, washing dishes, flushing toilets, cleaning and doing laundry.
The city is distributing bottled water to affected customers today, Monday, May 31, 2021 at Gaines Park, 1501 N. Australian Ave., 10 a.m. – noon.
As noticed on Saturday, Public Utilities has begun a free chlorination treatment. City of West Palm Beach water customers might notice a slight chlorine taste or odor in their tap water for the next few days. These temporary conditions will not cause adverse health effects. City staff will be flushing hydrants in different parts of the city; this a normal procedure during the free chlorination process.
Should the public have any questions about the Water Advisory or for additional information, please call the city’s hotline: (561) 822-2222 (TTY 800-955-8771).
