Road & Dock Closures Update: Week of April 11, 2021

CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH ENGINEERING CLOSURES
- Broadway Ave. between 24th St. and Northwood Rd. (through Friday, April 30, 2021): Road closure for traffic calming installation. Road closures:
- Southbound traffic on Broadway Ave. will be routed east and west to 24th St.
- Motorists should use Pinewood Rd. or Dixie Hwy. as north-south alternatives.
- Tamarind Ave. at 7th St. (Monday, April 19, 2021, through Wednesday, June 30, 2021): The intersection will be closed to through traffic. Access will be limited to residents including all side streets. Detours include:
- Access/egress for residents on Booker Ave. and Abraham Ave. will be maintained via 10th St.
- Access/egress for residents east of the Carver Canal will be maintained on Caver Ave. via Palm Beach Lakes Blvd.
- 7th St. between Carver Ave. and Tamarind Ave. (through August 2021): Intermittent lane closures east and westbound as part of the Tamarind Ave. corridor improvements project. Flaggers will assist motorists in work zones.
- Spruce Ave. at Northwood Rd. (Monday, April 12, 2021, through Friday, April 16, 2021): Intersection closed for crosswalk painting.
- 2400 Centre Park West Alley between Bristol Dr. to dead-end west of Australian Blvd. (through June 2021): Alley is closed for sanitary sewer repair.
- Rosemary Ave. between Banyan Blvd. and 8th St. (through June 18, 2021): Intermittent road closures for street lighting improvements.
- Lake Mangonia 42-inch Force Main Aerial Crossing approximately 1,000 ft. north of Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. (through August 2021): Motorists should expect construction activity on the service road behind Forum Way near the west side of the canal, and the west side of the 1400 block of North Mangonia Circle.
- 1300-1500 block of 7th St. (through August 2021): Intermittent lane closures for road paving, installation of new ADA-compliant ramps, sidewalks, crosswalks, and the rehabilitation of four roundabouts.
- Washington Rd. between Monceaux Rd. and Monroe Dr. (through December 2021): Intermittent lane closures for full streetscape redesign, including new underground utilities and storm drainage improvements.
- 42nd St. and Brooks Ave. (through October 2021): Construction-related activity near the work zone. Access to north side sidewalks on 42nd St. near the work zone will be restricted.
- 26th St. between Flagler Dr. and Poinsettia Ave. (until further notice): Possible westbound lane closure north of the media for emergency utility repair.
EVENTS ROAD CLOSURES
- 500 Block Merchant Weekend produced by the DDA (Friday, April 16, 2021, 4:00 p.m. through Sunday, April 18, 2021, 10:00 p.m.): Full road closure for the 500 block of Clematis St. Pedestrian access only.
- Howard Alan Art Fest produced by Howard Alan Events (Saturday, April 17, 2021, 5:00 a.m., through Sunday April 18, 2021, 10:00 p.m.): Road closure on Rosemary Ave. from Okeechobee Blvd. to Hibiscus St.
- GreenMarket in the City Commons produced by City of West Palm Beach Community Events (Saturday, April 17, 2021, 5:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.): Road closures on:
- North & South Clematis St.
- Narcissus St. between Banyan Blvd. & North Clematis St.
- Lantana Ave. between Banyan Blvd. & North Clematis St.
- 200 block of Clematis St. east of Pioneer Linens
- West Palm Beach Antique Flea & Craft Market produced by Bill Jacobson (Saturday, April 17, 2021, 5:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.): Road closure for the 300 block of Clematis St.
- Supercar Sunday produced by Neil London (Sunday April 18, 2021, 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.): Road closures on:
- North and South Clematis St., between Banyan Blvd. to Lakeview Ave.
- Flagler Dr., between Banyan Blvd. and Lakeview Ave.
PRIVATE ROAD CLOSURES
- Brightline - 45th St and 49th St. Rail Crossings (through April 2021): Crossings may be closed briefly (1-2 minutes), 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, as trucks enter and exit the 45th St. and 49th St. crossings. Flaggers will assist motorists.
- Brightline - Rail Crossing at 36th St. (through Sunday, April 18, 2021): Full road closure for rail upgrades. Detours:
- Eastbound 36th St. traffic will be directed to travel south on Greenwood Ave. to 30th St., travel east on 30th St to Pinewood Ave. and travel north on Pinewood Ave. to access 36th St.
- Westbound 36th St. traffic will be directed to travel south on Pinewood Ave. to 30th St., travel west on 30th St. to Greenwood Ave. and travel north on Greenwood Ave. to access 36th St.
- 625. S. Olive Ave., between Tanglewood Ct. and Trinity Pl. (through Monday, April 12, 2021): One northbound lane closed for crane operations at construction site.
- Trinity Pl. at Dixie Hwy. (Tuesday, April 13, 2021, through Thursday, April 15, 2021): Partial road closure to complete storm drain construction. Flaggers will assist motorists, guests of the Canopy Hotel, and residents of Two City Plaza in the construction zone.
- The Watermark - Datura St. between Quadrille Blvd. and South Dixie Hwy. (through December 2021): Westbound lane closed for construction of a senior living facility. Motorists should use Clematis St. or Evernia St. as westbound alternatives.
PALM BEACH COUNTY (PBC) ENGINEERING & PUBLIC WORKS ROAD CLOSURES IN CITY OF WPB
- Summit Blvd. west of Dreher Tr. to Parker Ave. (until further notice): Periodic westbound lane closure with traffic shift and law enforcement controlling traffic for FPL overhead utility work.
- Florida Mango Rd. from Belvedere Rd. at Old Okeechobee Rd. (until further notice): Periodic lane closures for pavement markings. Flaggers will assist motorists in the work zone.
- Florida Mango Rd. over the canal north of Bridgeman Dr. (until further notice): Periodic lane closures for bridge replacement. Flaggers will assist motorists in the work zone.
- Australian Ave. approximately 90 feet north of James L. Turnage Blvd./PBIA (until further notice): Periodic nighttime southbound right turn lane closures for pole installation and utility work.
- Australian Ave. at Banyan Blvd. (until further notice): Northbound right lane closures and southbound left turn lane closures for road improvements.
- Australian Ave. north of Mercer Ave. (until further notice): Periodic westbound traffic shifts for utility work.
- Australian Ave. on the northeast corner of Okeechobee Rd. (until further notice): Periodic westbound traffic shifts for utility work.
- Australian Ave. at Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. (until further notice): Southbound right lane closures, eastbound right turn lane and right lane closures, and westbound left turn lane closure for drainage installation.
- Australian Ave. south of Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. (until further notice): Periodic lane closures for drainage improvements.
- Haverhill Rd. north of Caribbean Blvd. to Dyer Blvd (until further notice): Periodic lane closures with flaggers controlling traffic for road improvements.
- Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. approximately 500 feet north of Robbins Dr. (until further notice): Periodic northbound right turn lane closures for utility work.
- Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. and Australian Ave. (until further notice): Periodic lane closures for intersection improvements. Carver Ave. at Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. is closed. To access Carver Ave., use Australian Ave. south to 7th St., and go west to Carver Ave.
- Roebuck Rd. from Jog Rd. to east of Haverhill Rd. (until further notice): Periodic lane closures for pavement markings.

FLORIDA DEPT OF TRANSPORTATION (FDOT) ROAD CLOSURES IN CITY OF WPB
- Eastbound Forest Hill Blvd., between Pine Tree Ln. and Norton Ave. (through Friday, April 16, 2021): One of three lanes closed, 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for underground utility installation.
- Eastbound Palm Beach Lakes Blvd., between North Robbins Dr. and Executive Center Dr. (through Monday, May 10, 2021): One of three lanes closed, 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for underground utility installation
- Westbound Okeechobee Blvd., between South Sapodilla Ave. and South Rosemary Ave. (through Monday, May 31, 2021. 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.): 1 of 4 lanes closed, for directional boring and conduit installation. For more information, please contact Daniel Moura 561-418-0596.
- Vehicle Detection & Traffic Signals Improvement Project (through Summer 2021): This improvement project is upgrading traffic signalization with video vehicle detection (camera) systems at area intersections. Motorists should expect slower traffic and construction activity at the following intersections:
- 45th St. at Corporate Way
- 45th St. at Haverhill Rd.
- Quadrille Blvd. at Hibiscus St.
- Southern Blvd. Bridge Replacement Project (through Fall 2021): Southern Blvd.’s westbound lane between SR A1A and the tide relief bridge will be closed from 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. nightly beginning Sunday, February 21, 2021, through Wednesday, February 24, 2021, to install drainage. Traffic will be maintained in both directions in the eastbound lane – one direction at a time – with a flagging operation.
- Flagler Dr. between Southern Blvd. and Worth Ct. North. (through fall 2021) will be closed for roadway reconstruction as part of the Southern Blvd. bridge replacement project. Access is maintained for local traffic only. Flagler Dr. sidewalks, from Southern Blvd. to Worth Ct. N., and the Southern Blvd. south sidewalk, from Washington Rd. to Flagler Dr., will remain closed through summer 2021. Detours:
- Traffic going north of Flagler Dr. should:
- Go west on Worth Ct. N. to Washington Rd.,
- Go north on Washington Rd. to Southern Blvd.,
- Go east on Southern Blvd. to Flagler Dr.
- Traffic going south on Flagler Dr. should:
- Go west on Southern Blvd. to Washington Rd.,
- Go South on Washington Rd. to Worth Ct N.,
- Go east on Worth Court N. to Flagler Dr.
- Pedestrians using Flagler Dr. between Southern Blvd. and N. Worth Ct. should:
- Use the east Flagler Dr. sidewalk.
- Pedestrians using Southern Blvd., between Washington Rd. and Flagler Dr. should:
- Use the north Southern Blvd. sidewalk.

CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH DOCKS
- Currie Park Boat Docks and Ramps (2400 North Flagler Dr.): Ramps are open daily, sunrise to sunset.
- Lake Mangonia Park Boat Ramps (2957 North Australian Ave): Ramps are open daily, sunrise to sunset.
- Clematis St. Docks (South Clematis St. at South Flagler Dr.): Docks are open daily, from 5:00 a.m. until midnight.
- Fern St. Dock (Fern St. at South Flagler Dr): Dock is open daily, from 5:00 a.m. until midnight. The Fern St. Dock is available for day docking only. No overnight dockage is allowed for boats, dinghies, or kayaks.
