'Highlighting Heritage' Initiative Continues
Mayor Keith A. James's Highlighting Heritage initiative continues for Hispanic Heritage Month. To recognize impactful individuals in our community, Mayor James, and the City Commissioners each recognized and honored a resident who plated a vital role in serving and improving West Palm Beach. The Hispanic Heritage Month honorees of this initiative were Dina Rubio, Rolando Chang Barrero, Maricela Torres, Mirta Luaces, Sergio Piedra, and Valerie Neilson.

The Soul in the City Jazz Series Continues for the Winter Season!
This series has been so successful with every show selling out that the City of West Palm Beach has decided to continue the series into the Winter months. There will be three events coming up on Wednesday, Oct. 11, Nov. 15, and Dec 13. The kick off of the series will feature Nathan Mitchell, an accomplished American, contemporary jazz/soul composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, music educator and humanitarian. Stay tuned in the coming weeks to find out the other two featured artists, and when you can purchase tickets.

Next City Commission Meeting

The next City Commission meeting will be held on Monday, Oct. 2 at 5 p.m. in City Hall, 401 Clematis Street. Commission meetings are held every other Monday, except for holidays, and the public is encouraged to attend.
