The West Palm Beach Police Department introduces SaferWatch to help residents and visitors stay safe, informed, and prevent crime. This new initiative allows people to text photos, videos, or live-stream directly to the 911 Emergency Communications Center and Strategic Intelligence Center.

Special Event Permitting on Clematis Street

From October 1 through December 31, 2023, the City will only consider Special Event Permit Applications for previously permitted, one-day events on Clematis Street.

Star Wars 'Villains' Visit Mandel Public Library

They celebrated 'Star Wars Day' ('May the 4th Be With You') early at Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach, with a visit from Star Wars 'villains'. The visitors belonged to a local chapter of an international Star Wars costuming organization, and they charmed kids and parents alike.

 

SunFest 2023 is Here!

Don't miss out on this year's SunFest! Join us for three days of live music, fun, sun, and delicious food along the waterfront. With headliners like Jack Johnson, The Chainsmokers, and Flo Rida, this is an event you won't want to miss.

SunFest begins today, and runs through Sunday, May 7, 2023.

 

HCD Fiscal Year 2023 Annual Action Plan Community Meeting - May 10, 2023

Join us on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Flagler Gallery for the HCD Annual Action Plan Community Meeting. The Annual Action Plan determines how federal CDBG, HOME, and HOPWA funds help address housing, public services, homelessness, public facilities, and infrastructure needs of at-risk persons and families.

 

Small Business Resource Fair - May 10, 2023

Join us on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mandel Public Library 3rd Floor Auditorium for a small business resource fair. Participants have the opportunity to network, get SBE- & M/WBE- certified, and learn about upcoming business opportunities all in one day.

New Police Carts and E-Bikes Help Patrol Downtown

The West Palm Beach Police Department now has some new tools to help keep our City safe. Electric-powered patrol carts and e-bikes have been added to the department's fleet, thanks to the Downtown Development Authority.

 

Pride on the Block

The City of West Palm Beach and Mayor Keith A. James are pleased to announce that Pride on the Block will take place on Saturday, June 3 in the 500 block of Clematis Street. The City has taken all necessary measures to ensure a safe and successful celebration of the LGBTQ+ community.

 

Pick-up will be Thursday, May 11, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., at the Howard Park Community Center parking lot.

It's time to Prepare for the 2023 Atlantic Hurricane Season

The City of West Palm Beach would like to remind residents of the importance of being prepared for potential storms. While we hope that this season will be uneventful, it is always best to be ready in the event of a storm. The season runs from June 1 to Nov. 30, 2023
