FINANCIAL AUDIT SERVICES
The City of West Palm Beach is soliciting the services of an independent certified public accounting firm to provide financial auditing services to the City for the audits of the financial statements, of the City and the Community Redevelopment Agency and any other financial or compliance special reports required by Federal, State or other grantor agencies for the five fiscal years beginning October 1, 2022 and ending September 30, 2027.
The objective of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to secure the services of an independent certified public accounting firm to provide financial auditing services to the City of West Palm Beach (the “City”) and the West Palm Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (the “CRA”) and to any other financial or compliance Special Reports required by Federal, State, or other grantor agencies.
These services will include an audit of the financial information of the governmental and business-type activities, each major fund and the aggregate remaining funds which collectively comprise the City’s basic financial statements and separately for the financial information of the governmental activities, each major fund and the aggregate remaining funds of the CRA.
These audits and special reports are to be performed in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards, the standards set forth for financial audits in the General Accounting Office's (GAO), Government Auditing Standards (as amended from time to time), and Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (the "Uniform Guidance").
Proposals submitted will be evaluated by the City’s Audit Committee. The selection process will follow the guidelines contained in Section 218.391, Florida Statutes, as amended.
