 Office of Sustainability hours remain the same (8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday). In order for us to best assist you, please give us a call (561-804-4994) or send an email (Sustainability@wpb.org) before coming into the office.

Mission: Enhance the viability of West Palm Beach as a model of a healthy, equitable, environmentally progressive, resilient, and ecologically sustainable community.

 

The City of West Palm Beach has been committed to sustainability targeting climate change for over a decade. We were one of the first cities in the State of Florida to have a dedicated office addressing climate change, sustainability and resiliency issues. The Office of Sustainability collaborates with various city agencies, nonprofit organizations, businesses and private citizens, among other partners, to enhance the viability of the municipality as a model of healthy, equitable, environmentally progressive, resilient and ecologically sustainable, urban living.  We are committed to continue to evolve to meet our City’s / region’s environmental challenges focused on exceeding our community’s expectations.

Free Tree Giveaway Postponed until June 25

Plant a tree and help us reach our goal of planting 10,000 trees by 2025. This program, an initiative of the City of West Palm Beach Office of Sustainability, reflects the City's partnership with its residents and businesses to beautify our neighborhoods, sustain the health of existing trees, and increase the city's shade canopy.

*Tree Application is required.* Limit 4 trees per property per year.
This program is open to City of West Palm Beach residents and businesses only.
*Applications will close on June 1st or when we reach capacity*

Here's how our process works:
1. Visit wpb.org/10ktrees, click the link for the June 4th Tree Application, look over the available trees within the application, complete all required fields, and click submit. You may select up to 2 trees.
2. We will process your application.
3. You will receive an email to let you know if your application is approved and more specific information regarding the pick-up date and time.
4. On June 4th, pick-up your trees at the Howard Park Community Center Parking Lot!

Pick-up location will be at the Howard Park Community Center from 10am-11:30am. More specific instructions will be emailed to you.
Don't forget to submit your Tree Application! Visit wpb.org/10ktrees to access the Tree Application and find the variety of tree species available.
We must have an approved Tree Application recorded before the event in order to load your trees for pick-up.
