Mission: Enhance the viability of West Palm Beach as a model of a healthy, equitable, environmentally progressive, resilient, and ecologically sustainable community.

The City of West Palm Beach has been committed to sustainability targeting climate change for over a decade. We were one of the first cities in the State of Florida to have a dedicated office addressing climate change, sustainability and resiliency issues. The Office of Sustainability collaborates with various city agencies, nonprofit organizations, businesses and private citizens, among other partners, to enhance the viability of the municipality as a model of healthy, equitable, environmentally progressive, resilient and ecologically sustainable, urban living.  We are committed to continue to evolve to meet our City’s / region’s environmental challenges focused on exceeding our community’s expectations.

Trees produce oxygen, absorb air pollutants, reduce energy costs for your home or business, and help fight climate change. Go Green and help us reach the goal of planting 10,000 trees in West Palm Beach by 2025.

*Tree Application is required*

This program is open to City of West Palm Beach residents and businesses only. Due to COVID-19 concerns, we are modifying our tree giveaway program to make it safer for you and our staff.

*Applications will close on December 3rd*

Here's how our new process will work:
1. Look over the variety of trees that we are offering
(visit wpb.org/10ktrees) and submit your application. You may select up to 2 trees.
2. We will process your application.
3. You will receive an email to let you know if your application is approved and more specific information regarding the pick-up date and time.
4. On December 5th, pick-up your trees at our safe, drive-thru pick-up!

Pick-up location will be at the Manatee Lagoon parking lot (6000 N Flagler Dr) on December 5th from 10am to 12pm. More specific instructions will be emailed to you. Don't forget to submit your Tree Application! Visit wpb.org/10ktrees to access the Tree Application and find the variety of tree species available.
