The Mandel Public Library is happy to celebrate “every body” with the fourth year of Perfectly Imperfect! Over the last four years we have had guest speakers, workshops, and authors at the library to educate and promote self-love, body confidence, and healthy wellness messages that benefit everyone from 16-100.

This year brings another exciting lineup of wellness programs. On Saturday, March 30 we have an author talk and book signing with West Palm Beach native Amy Jordan to discuss her journey in recovering from a major accident and learning to walk again. Jordan will also talk about her award-winning book Dance Because You Can and how every days she finds ways to Create Victory in the Moment. Also on Saturday, March 30, we welcome back Rachel Smith, a licensed marriage and family therapist, as she discusses self-confidence, self-love, self-acceptance, and body positivity. Learn tools to embrace your true self! This day will round out a month of exciting lectures and workshops meant to help elevate your life, identify strategies that work for your unique self, and give you the ability to find personal empowerment.

For more information about all our amazing Perfectly Imperfect programs, visit our online calendar.

Self-Care Bundles will be available starting March 1st. The kits include a Clever Fox Self-Care Journal, spa headband, shower steamers, relaxing scented candle, lip mask, eye mask, face mask, and lotion! Quantities are limited, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the fourth-floor customer service desk.

Not able to make the programs or just want to dive deeper into some of these topics? Not only do we have fantastic reading selections in the Mind, Body, Spirit and Health & Wellness sections on the first floor of the library, but cloudLibrary has digital selections for Perfectly Imperfect and Mind, Body, Spirit. If watching is more your style, you can find an extensive collection of wellness DVDs available on the second floor of the library!
