City of West Palm Beach CRA Hosts Broadway Corridor Community Meeting

WEST PALM BEACH, FL –  Community members are invited to join the City, CRA team, and your neighbors for an informative presentation regarding the Broadway Corridor on smart growth, corridor development, code reform, and community development. Following the presentation, work alongside your neighbors to draw your vision for the future of the Broadway corridor.

The initial community meeting is Wednesday, Sept. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Manatee Lagoon. The City and CRA invite the community to attend and provide feedback and ideas on what they want to see on Broadway. The address to the Manatee Lagoon is 6000 N. Flagler Drive, West Palm Beach, FL 33407. The focus area for this initial meeting includes the properties facing Broadway Boulevard from 24th Street to 59th Street.

The redevelopment study is intended to assist in the Broadway redevelopment efforts to create a predictable urban corridor that adds vitality to the adjacent Northwood Business District, preserves the character of adjacent residential properties, and encourages historic preservation of significant structures, all while encouraging transit-oriented development and a livable environment.

Planning consultants Dover, Kohl, and Partners are providing an interactive, hands-on immersive experience to connect the community vision to their planning. After these community meetings, stakeholder meetings, and feedback from City Leadership are completed, additional meetings to propose a plan to move forward with the vision of the Broadway Corridor will be scheduled.
