New and Returning City Commissioners Sworn-In

Newly-elected West Palm Beach City Commissioner Cathleen Ward (District 1) and re-elected Commissioners Christy Fox (District 3) and Christina Lambert (District 5) were sworn-in on March 31, 2022 at City Hall. The commissioners took the oath of office, which was administered by the Hon. Daliah H. Weiss, before family, friends, and supporters in the Commission Chambers.

Commissioner Christy Fox was elected commission president succeeding Commissioner Joseph Peduzzi (District 4) who served as president for one year. Outgoing District 1 Commissioner Kelly Shoaf delivered remarks and was thanked for her service. 

The swearing-in ceremony, including remarks by the newly-elected city officials, can be found on the City of West Palm Beach YouTube channel.

 

Mayoral Town Hall: Downtown & Central Neighborhoods

Residents and business owners north of Okeechobee Blvd. and south of Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. are invited to the Mayoral Town Hall on Tuesday, April 5 at 6 p.m. at the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties. Mayor James will share city and neighborhood updates.

Vegetation Amnesty Days Announced in Advance of Hurricane Season

To prepare your residential property for hurricane season, residents are encouraged to place an unlimited amount of vegetative waste curbside for pickup at no additional cost during Vegetation Amnesty Days (May 2-13).

For information about testing and vaccination sites in our area, please visit the COVID-19 Online Resource Guide. Visitors to City Hall are required to have an appointment with the exception of individuals paying water bills, processing building permits, submitting public records requests, and attending public meetings. A face covering is required for entry to city government facilities.
