General Municipal Election Results

Cathleen Ward is the winner of the City Commission District 1 election, according to unofficial results from the Supervisor of Elections. Congratulations! A swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, March 31, 2022 in Commission Chambers at City Hall.

March Proclaimed Women's History Month

Mayor James issued the proclamation to honor the history and contributions of women in our community and around the nation. We are especially proud of the achievements of women here in our city!

 

Mayor, Local Leaders Advocate for Regional Water Protection

Elected and appointed officials in Palm Beach County joined together in support of Florida Senate Bill 2508, which would help ensure that Lake Okeechobee operations meet the needs of South Floridians.

 

History-making Public Artwork Installed

The city's newest public art installation, "The Metamorphosis," can be viewed in the Urban Living Room, outside the Mandel Public Library located at 411 Clematis Street. Local artist Michelle Drummond is the first, Black female artist to be awarded a solo, permanent public art commission through the city's ArtLifeWPB program.

Body Acceptance Advocate to Speak at Mandel Public Library

Katie Sturino, MEGABABE beauty product line founder, will discuss her new book, “Body Talk,” the body-positivity movement, and living your best life regardless of your clothing size.

City Commission Meetings

Commission meetings are held every other Monday at City Hall, 401 Clematis St. The public is encouraged to attend. Face coverings and physical distancing are required.

COVID-19 Information

For information about testing and vaccination sites in our area, please visit the COVID-19 Online Resource Guide. The city is operating a testing site at Gaines Park. Visitors to City Hall are required to have an appointment with the exception of individuals paying water bills, processing building permits, submitting public records requests, and attending public meetings. A face covering is required for entry to city government facilities.
