WEST PALM BEACH, FL (November 15, 2021) – As part of its celebration of Sandi Tree’s 10th birthday, the City of West Palm Beach is bringing back its annual Clematis by Night Holiday Tree Lighting for its Holiday in Paradise (HIP) campaign. This year, country music star Brooke Eden will headline the event on Thursday, December 2, 2021, 6-9 p.m., on the West Palm Beach waterfront, 100 N. Clematis St.

“A big birthday party deserves special entertainment, and we are honored that Brooke will be part of this important milestone,” said West Palm Beach Mayor Keith A. James. “It is heartwarming to see a West Palm Beach native making headlines in the country music scene. We hope everyone will join us to wish Sandi a happy birthday and to welcome Brooke home to West Palm Beach!”

“We knew Brooke Eden was destined for greatness since she first performed on our waterfront years ago,” said Mary Pinak, community events manager for the City of West Palm Beach. “We are thrilled to have her back and for such a special occasion. We look forward to celebrating two local stars at the Clematis by Night Holiday Tree Lighting.”

Lauded for her commanding stage presence and brassy, straight-shooting style, vocal powerhouse Brooke Eden has been championed by Billboard as a “fiery country star-in-the-making.” She pairs her honest songwriting with punchy tracks from producer Jesse Frasure (who has also worked with big names such as Thomas Rhett, Florida Georgia Like and Little Big Town) to deliver her most authentic work yet.  According to Rolling Stone, “with its loping banjo figure and some rhythmic swagger, ‘No Shade’ (one of Brooke’s latest three singles) is something to make you count the days until spring arrives.”

The music video for “Sunroof,” another recent single, shot to the top of iTunes’ all-genre chart and was viewed more than 6 million times in its first week. These impressive figures led to nomination of the song’s music video for the Country Music Television Awards’ “Best Family Feature of 2021.”

The Clematis by Night Holiday Tree Lighting will also include an appearance by Santa Claus and additional activities and fun for the whole family. Following the event, nightly music and light shows will run on the quarter-hour from 6 – 10 p.m. through December 30, except when showtimes are adjusted during special events. As part of New Year’s Eve celebrations, Sandi shows will run until midnight. The City’s Centennial Fountain, 127 N. Clematis Street, will dance in synchronized fashion during Sandi’s shows.

Currently, Sandi is in a race for a national recognition as the “Best Public Holiday Lights Display” in a Readers’ Choice poll by USA TODAY 10Best. She was independently nominated for the recognition, and voting is open through Monday, December 6 at noon. Sandi fans can vote once per day.

Since her debut in 2012, Sandi has received numerous international and regional awards and accolades including “Best New Event” and “Best Event within an Existing Festival” by the International Festivals and Events Association, “Most Innovative Project” by the Florida Festivals and Events Association and, most recently, a Henry Award from VISIT FLORIDA. Sandi has been featured by The Huffington Post, Thrillist, CNN, Martha Stewart, Travel + Leisure, and The Ellen Show. She also has her own closely-followed social media accounts!
