Monthly Homeless Assistance Update (October)

In October 2021, to assist those experiencing homelessness, the city and its partners helped:

  • 15 individuals with referrals and access to mental health and substance abuse resources (261 YTD).
  • 14 individuals experiencing chronic homelessness find housing through partnerships with the County’s coordinated entry system, Gulfstream Goodwill and Vickers House (89 YTD).
  • 6 individual experiencing chronic homelessness through the city’s Homeward Bound Program (42 YTD).

City Commission Updates

Approvals and decisions made by city commission are posted on our website. City commission meetings are held every other Monday at 5 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend!

 
 

COVID-19 Update

Continue to take precautions against COVID-19. The city has established a testing location at Gaines Park. For testing and vaccination information, please visit the COVID-19 Resource Guide online. Visitors to City Hall are required to have an appointment with the exception of individuals paying water bills, processing building permits, getting building permit applications/information, or attending public meetings. A face covering is required for entry to city government facilities.
