WEST PALM BEACH, FLA (October 29, 2021) – The West Palm Beach Police Department announces the hours of the curfew for minors (anyone under the age of 18) will be expanded by one hour in the Downtown Entertainment District during Halloween weekend.
This weekend, curfew hours for minors in the Downtown Entertainment District are:
- Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 9 p.m. - Sunday, October 31, 2021 at 6 a.m.
- Sunday, October 31, 2021 at 9 p.m. - Monday, November 1, 2021 at 6 a.m.
Section 54-232 of the City Code of Ordinances established a curfew for any person under 18 years of age by restricting the hours they may be in the downtown area from Sunday through Saturday, 10 p.m. – 6 a.m. Increasing these restricted hours in the Downtown Entertainment District during the Halloween weekend will assist in promoting the health, safety and general welfare of minors and will further allow the police department to focus its attention on the health, safety, and welfare of Halloween weekend celebrants, residents and business patrons in the downtown area and in the surrounding area.
