MEDIA ADVISORY: Community Appearance Index to Inform Future Cleanup Strategies in West Palm Beach

 WHAT:  Community Appearance Index

 As part of Mayor James’ Neighborhoods First initiative, the City of West Palm Beach will conduct a survey of the overall appearance of the city. City representatives and volunteers will gather information to help address community practices, regulations, and resources regarding litter in our neighborhoods. Additionally, the survey will measure the city’s beautification and waste reduction efforts including recycling operations. The goal of the survey is to develop a baseline to inform future strategies designed to make West Palm Beach even more beautiful and clean.

 The Neighborhoods First initiative aims to provide an enhanced level of customers to residents of all West Palm Beach neighborhoods.

 WHEN:

October 20-21, 2021
At 8:45 a.m. on 10/20, surveyors will depart the city’s Complex aboard an electric bus.
At 8:30 a.m. on 10/20, Public Works Director Josh McDermott will be available for media interviews outside the Complex.

 WHERE:

The survey will be conducted of neighborhoods citywide.
The Complex is located at 1045 Charlotte Ave, Bldg. 2
