City of West Palm Beach to Switch Back to Chloramines as Water Disinfectant

WEST PALM BEACH, FLA (June 18, 2021) – The City of West Palm Beach will switch back to using chloramines as the disinfectant for its water service effective Saturday, June 19, 2021. This change can take up to two days to infiltrate the entire water system. Since Saturday,  May 29, 2021, in coordination with the Florida Department of Health and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the City has been using Free Chlorine for water disinfection. This Free Chlorine treatment will end on Saturday, June 19, 2021.
