WEST PALM BEACH, FL (March 11, 2020) -- The City of West Palm Beach’s Vision Zero safety team, in collaboration with the Mandel Public Library, will be hosting a Spring Break Safety Fair for students and families on Monday, March 23, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the West Palm Beach City Hall courtyard located at 401 Clematis Street, West Palm Beach, FL 33401. The safety fair is in line with Mayor Keith A James’ vision of public safety as Priority #1.

Attendees will learn valuable skills for riding a bike, such as starting, stopping, turning, road safety, and bicycle helmet safety. Guests are encouraged to bring their own bikes to receive specific tips and have adjustments made. The event will include helmet fittings and helmet giveaways, while supplies last.

Vision Zero West Palm Beach is a City initiative that is designed on creating safer streets for pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists through improved education, engineering and enforcement. Vision Zero is a collaborative effort between internal and external community stakeholders. The plan is to connect the resources and expertise of each department to advance our shared goal of reducing and preventing fatalities and serious injuries on the streets of West Palm Beach.
