SUMMARY: Publix and the Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County have provided updates about appointments and vaccines (see below). The State of Emergency and County Order mandating the wearing of face coverings in public places have been extended. Please continue to wear a face covering, even if you have been vaccinated.

VACCINATIONS

Please check back on Wednesday, February 10 after 7:00 a.m. EST (6:00 a.m. CST) for your next opportunity. Vaccination appointments are scheduled online only. Appointments cannot be made by calling Publix or the Publix Pharmacy.” Info: click here!
  • NEW-- For those wanting to make an appointment utilizing myvaccine.fl.gov, according to the Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County: “This is a state operated appointment system. In Palm Beach County, DOH-Palm Beach is not currently looking at this website’s waitlist while we continue to work with the Healthcare District of Palm Beach County to fill our original chd50feedback waitlist…... You are able to fill out your information on this site, and will be on a list, however you will be waiting for an undetermined amount of time, and we are unable to check your status or place in line at this time.”
  • West Palm Beach Fire Rescue intends to distribute vaccine to our community, as supplies become available.
  • As the City learns of additional availability of COVID-19 vaccines, we will share that information with you. Subscribe for COVID-19 e-alerts, subscribe to the Mayor's Insider Newsletter (weekly), or visit the news section of our website.

SCAM ALERT! Caller ID Spoofing!

  • NEW -- The Department of Health in Palm Beach County has recently been informed of calls that look to have originated from their main number in Delray Beach (561-274-3100), asking for personal information such as your Medicare ID, social security number, or other personal identifying information. The Florida Department of Health would never call you, unsolicited, asking for personal information. Scammers want to use your data in fraud schemes, costing you money. Don’t let them! If the call seems suspicious, just hang up.

PARTNER UPDATE: Palm Beach County, a partner of the City of West Palm Beach, has shared with the City these COVID-19 updates:

  • The mandatory facial coverings order for Palm Beach County has been extended to February 19.
  • COVID-19 vaccine allotment and distribution are under the control of the Florida Department of Health and the Florida Division of Emergency Management. Palm Beach County area hospitals received separate allocations directly from the state and must be dispensed according to the governor’s  Executive Order 20-315.
  • Vaccine supplies remain very limited; first phase priority populations are front-line healthcare workers; long-term care residents and staff; and those age 65 and older.
  • 67 Publix Supermarkets with pharmacies in Palm Beach County have been authorized to administer vaccines.
  • Other locations – The governor has directed the allocation of vaccines to Kings Point in Delray Beach, Century Village in Boca Raton and West Palm Beach, and Leisureville in Boynton Beach.
