Post Date:11/05/2020 3:17 PM

WEST PALM BEACH, FLA (November 5, 2020) – The City of West Palm Beach is monitoring Tropical Depression Eta, which may bring rainfall and wind impacts to Florida this weekend and early next week. Please be advised of important information regarding City sanitation services.

OPERATIONAL UPDATES

  • Special pickup services for commercial and residential customers are suspended until further notice. Special pickups include billable customer service requests for yard waste piles exceeding 18 ft. x 4 ft. x 4 ft. or bulk removal in excess of three items.
  • Previously scheduled special pickups will take place on Thursday, November 5 and Friday, November 6, 2020.
  • Regularly scheduled residential and commercial pickups remain unchanged until further notice.

TIPS

Follow these important tips should a major weather event impact our community:

  • Please keep storm drains clean to minimize flooding. Large piles of new vegetation trimming might clog storm drains.
  • Please refrain from doing any major yard work until after a storm passes.
  • Place out only what is necessary so as not to strain our sanitation collection efforts.
  • Do not place any debris at the curb after a tropical storm watch/warning or hurricane watch/warning has been issued and before a storm impacts our community.

For more information, please call the City of West Palm Beach Department of Public Works Sanitation Division at (561) 822-2075 (TTY: 800-955-8771) or email publicworks@wpb.org.
