Barbie lives happily in Barbieland, showing girls they can be anything they want. Ken, unnoticed except next to Barbie, joins her on a journey to the real world. There they discover new challenges. Barbie seeks to help someone unhappy in the real world, while Ken finds new confidence. Meanwhile, Mattel executives aim to seal Barbie and Ken back into their boxes.
