The City of West Palm Beach Community Events Division produces over 600 unique, original, award-winning family-friendly events each year, most of which are free. Our beautiful city provides a spectacular backdrop year-round to entertain and delight people of all ages, and from all walks of life.  

Festivals and events have a place of honor in West Palm Beach as essential tools for creating the city's urban character.  As one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S., West Palm Beach has retained the sense of a smaller, more connected community due in large part to its events.

West Palm Beach GreenMarket Pop-Up Workshop:
Trojan Rocking Horse Project

Join Marco Casagrande (Finnish artist), Sherryl Muriente (DDA), and Mary Glazier (local artist) for an interactive kids art workshop (ages 5-12 suggested).

"Trojan Rocking Horses consists of eight life-sized rocking horses, each custom-designed based on local children's designs created through community workshops. These will then be fabricated locally, under the guidance of world-renowned Finnish artist and architect Marco Casagrande. Inspired by the stories of the Barefoot Mailman, the horses will begin their journey through various communities in the City of West Palm Beach collecting messages from West Palm Beach citizens about their aspirations and dreams for the City and Downtown."

Casagrande, a five-time invitee to the Venice Architecture Biennale and a recipient of the UNESCO Global Award for Sustainable Architecture, envisions each horse as a work of art and a gathering source for the community’s ideas and visions for the future of Downtown West Palm Beach.
