The City of West Palm Beach Community Events Division produces over 600 unique, original, award-winning family-friendly events each year, most of which are free. Our beautiful city provides a spectacular backdrop year-round to entertain and delight people of all ages, and from all walks of life.
Festivals and events have a place of honor in West Palm Beach as essential tools for creating the city's urban character. As one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S., West Palm Beach has retained the sense of a smaller, more connected community due in large part to its events.

Jan Lewan (The Polka King) & The Alex Meixner Band
The Alex Meixner Band is considered one of the top Oktoberfest/Polka ensembles in the USA today. Blending traditional and contemporary Alpine music with American and popular international party songs makes Alex and the band an exciting draw at some of the largest German festivals in North America. Alex is a Grammy-nominated performer for his "Polka Freak Out" collaboration with Bubba Hernandez and has appeared on over 60 recordings, including his recent album "Music with my Friends," released in August 2021.
Jan Lewan is a native Polish singer whose career has taken him from the heights of some of the largest concert halls in the world to leading his own polka orchestra to a Grammy nomination in the 1990s. Jack Black recently personified him in the Netflix movie release, "The Polka King," where Alex performed the soundtrack accordion parts. Jan collaborates with The Alex Meixner Band for numerous engagements annually with his popular Polish polka repertoire and international favorites.
Patrons should follow all CDC guidelines. Attendees may bring blankets and chairs.
