Mayor Keith A. James to Host Roundtable Discussion to Address Homelessness

WEST PALM BEACH, FL — West Palm Beach Mayor Keith A. James is set to spearhead a critical discussion on homelessness as part of his ongoing "Community Conversations" series. The Mayor invites the media and the community to participate in this pivotal event, which will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2024, at 10 a.m. on the 3^rd floor of the Mandel Library of West Palm Beach, located at 411 Clematis St, West Palm Beach, FL 33401.

Mayor Keith A. James recognizes the urgency of addressing homelessness and believes that collaborative efforts are essential to finding innovative solutions. The roundtable discussion will bring together influential leaders from various sectors to identify and discuss approaches to tackling the pressing issues surrounding homelessness in West Palm Beach.

The distinguished panel of participants includes:

• Jeff DeMario, CEO, Vita Nova
• James Green, Palm Beach County Community Services Director
• Dr. Tomara Mays, CEO, Homeless Coalition
• Shannon Nazworth, Chair, Florida Homelessness Council
• Allie Severino, West Palm Beach Social Services Supervisor
• Diana Stanley, CEO, The Lord’s Place

The roundtable aims to encourage local governments to enact policy initiatives and foster multi-stakeholder engagement in addressing homelessness. Mayor James believes that by convening this diverse group of leaders, meaningful change can be driven, promoting the well-being of all West Palm Beach residents.

Members of the media and the community are encouraged to attend and actively participate in this crucial discussion. The event will provide a platform for constructive dialogue and the exchange of ideas to address the complex issue of homelessness in our community.
