It’s Time to “Fall Back,” Change Your Fire Alarm Batteries

Post Date:11/01/2021 2:00 AM

WEST PALM BEACH, FLA (November 1, 2021) -- It’s time to “fall back!” Daylight Savings Time will end on Sunday, November 7, 2021, 2:00 a.m., and we will “fall back” to Standard Time. On Saturday night, remember to set your clocks back one hour.

The West Palm Beach Fire Department reminds you to install fresh batteries in your smoke alarm and/or carbon monoxide alarm. Make sure these devices are in good working order. Newer models have a 10-year battery, so be sure to check their expiration dates. Also, check to see if your fire extinguishers need recharging. Smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, and fire extinguishers can help save lives!
