COVID-19 UPDATE #2

WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA (March 2, 2020, 4:00 p.m.) -- Mayor Keith A. James and City of West Palm Beach Emergency Manager Chief Brent Bloomfield continue to monitor the current outbreak of the 2019 coronavirus (COVID-19). The City remains in regular communication with the Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The City will continue to follow the directives from the Florida Department of Health.  

The Florida Department of Health has issued guidance to protect yourself and your community from COVID-19 which includes washing your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Avoid close contact with people who are sick, and stay home when you are sick.
